You might be asking…why? And I’m here to tell you!
When shopping local, you, your local economy, your community, and the environment all benefit! You benefit from receiving handmade items, knowing who it comes from! Here are some facts to remind you why this is important!

To earn an “average” salary according to their country, a worker needs to work 70 hours weekly
Every year, 22 million children die in sweatshops due to terrible conditions.
So as you can see, shopping local is one of the best ways you can contribute to ethical fashion, because you know who is making your purchase.
Local communities are more likely to use sustainable material, meaning no dangerous fabric dyes or harsh fabrics which can be hazardous for your skin. By shopping local, you are making the healthy choice for your body and skin!
Not to mention that local businesses sell unique items that cannot be find anywhere else, making sure you reiceve one of a kind items!
Your local economy benefits from local shopping because it is proven that this money will be staying and circulating in the community. For every $100 spent at a local business, $68 will stay in the community. That is more than 50%, and you might ask yourself, so what?
More circulation in the local economy creates safety and security which results in a balanced and stable community.
But this is not the only way your community can benefit from shopping local.
Not to mention that local business owners are your neighbours who are invested in not only your well-being, but the well-being of the community and its future! You might ask, why is this vital?
Well it is proven that local businesses support community developments and organizations! This includes charities for important causes that can be personal for a community!

Almost all small businesses stick with sustainability, making sure everything from their items to packaging are eco-friendly!
FACT: Shopping local helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contributes to improving the carbon footprint!
